PCGamer- Bioshock Infinite: Burial at Sea Episode 1 hands-on: a return to Rapture before the fall

PCG:Booker DeWitt is slumped in his office, his numb stupor disturbed by a persistent knocking at the door. Historically for Booker, whatever's on the other side isn't going to be good news. And so it proves in Burial at Sea Episode 1, the first story based DLC for Bioshock Infinite. Its opening minutes follow the beats of a hardboiled detective novel. Moments later, the door swings open to reveal a girl, a case, and a whole ocean of trouble.

But the announcement of Burial at Sea a two-part adventure that sets Infinite protagonists Booker DeWitt and Elizabeth in the underwater city of Rapture might just be Irrationals most ambitious and exciting project yet. Creative Director Ken Levine kindly took a few minutes from his schedule to answer our pesky questions about the upcoming downloadable episodes.

Batman: Arkham Origins slated for Oct. 25

Added: 20.05.2013 17:20 | 44 views | 0 comments

"Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has unleashed some more details regarding Batman: Arkham Origins, including a trailer and a release date of Oct. 25 for PC, PS3, Wii U and Xbox 360. Batman will be voiced by Roger Craig Smith, whose vocal chops include Chris Redfield, Ezio and Sonic the Hedgehog. While Kevin Conroy is still confirmed to have his voice featured in Arkham Origins, at this point it is unknown how it will be featured. Joker will also be in this prequel, with his voice being handled by Troy Baker, aka Booker DeWitt from Bioshock Infinite, Snow from Final Fantasy XIII, and Two-Face and Robin from Arkham City. No news yet on the 3DS/Vita Blackgate iteration, but Id wager a reveal is not too far off. Watch the new trailer not only is it pretty freaking awesome, but it features some of the villains we can expect to see, including Black Mask, Deathstroke and Deadshot." - Patrick Kulikowski

Review: Bioshock Infinite

Added: 22.04.2013 21:18 | 40 views | 0 comments

"Bioshock Infinite is a hard game to judge. Do I critique it based off the original Bioshock, or as a stand alone entity? Certainly Bioshock was one of the most influential games of the last ten years, and fact has to be taken into consideration. Infinites comments on politics, religion and racemajor aspects of the experienceare also worthy of their own separate articles. Let us not forget the violence debate surrounding the game and whether or not the ending is a logical and satisfactory conclusion. Bear with me as I attempt to cram all this into one review. As Infinites protagonist Booker DeWitt enters the sky-city of Columbia for the first time, I can safely say you will be in awe. An example of extreme American exceptionialism, the bright colors and early 1900s aesthetic make Columbia one of the most imaginative, beautiful and disturbing videogame settings in recent memoryeven more so, dare I say, than Bioshocks underwater city of Rapture." - Lowell Bell
